Resolve iTunes Error 3194


Mac OS operators frequently experience error 3194 while updating their Mac OS device. The motive behind this problem is triggered due to communication error between iTunes software and the Apple server. Error 3194 can be fixed by editing the "hosts" file in your system which assistances the iTunes to connect with the Apple server.  

Step 1 
  
Check the iTunes version on your system. If the itunes version is not updated then download the updated version  from this link http://www.apple.com/in/itunes/download/  
  
If you have previously installed the latest iTunes in your system, and if the version of iTunes is before 11.1.4, you have to update iTunes software to latest version. 
  
  
Step 2  
  
If you have updated latest iTunes, go to "C:-Windows-System32-drivers-etc " 
  
Step 3 
  
Generate a copy of "hosts" file and save it on desktop or some other place .This is complete for just for safety.  
  
Step 4 
  
Open it using notepad ( right click the "hosts" file you can see open with option )  
  
Step 5 
  
Open the "hosts" file  
  
Step 6 
  
Remove # 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com  from the "hosts" file  
  
Step 7 
  
Save the file   
  
Step 8 
  
Reboot your system  
  
Step 9 
Now update iTunes. 
  
Now the 3194 error will not appear. 
  
One of the extreme irritating errors that seem when you are trying to reinstate or update your iPhone is the iTunes 3194 error. You see the one, it says “The iPhone ‘iPhone” could not be reinstated. An unidentified error arisen.”  It gets inferior when your device has been jail broken or you are trying to reinstate to a previous firmware – Apple don’t be responsible for too much sustenance in this area. However, there is a method to try to solve it on a jail broken iPhone and that’s using TinyUmbrella. 
This is mostly for use when you are downgrading your device although it may work for an update error as well. Please recall to  save your SHSH blobs.  
  
1.                     Download the applicable firmware that you need to upgrade or downgrade your device to. 
  
2.                     Download Tinyumbrella 
  
3.                     Your device should be connected to your system and iTunes is turned off 

4.                     Open TinyUmbrella and select “Start TSS Server  
  
5.                     Place your device into DFU mode   

6.                     Windows operators should hold down the Shift key and Reestablish at the similar time and select the firmware IPSW you downloaded. Mac operators hold down the Option key and Restore at the same time.   

7.                     iTunes should now restore your device to your selected firmware deprived of any error pop-ups.
